Our team's next stop on the Storm the Shores tour is Benin City, Nigeria. It has been a fruitful and wonderful few days with the people here.
We visited a correctional facility, Bryan preached encouraging messages, we visited with orphans, spent time with old friends at their church, mourned the loss of our brother James, ministered to the Gracious Sisters Widow group, and engaged in village celebrations and traditions.

Bittersweet to leave one group and join another. We said goodbye to Margaret and the Port Harcourt ministers as we left for Benin City.

Of course, it’s not a road trip in Nigeria without a few “bumps in the road.” But we made it! JESUS WAS ENOUGH!

Day two was another “crazy" Holy Day. Tour of correctional facilities.
I feel as the pictures show the heart of this incredibly difficult and beautiful place. Let me offer limited words so you can sense this moment!
Left: Bryan and Pastor Adebayo enjoy their “Bush Allowance."
Middle: Sapele correctional officer greeting.
Right: Bryan shares an encouraging word!
Left: Church Pastor and spouse were so kind! They loved Susan’s gift selections.

Holy, holy orphanage moment! 🙏

Obi's love for the children ❤️ Glory to God!

Our next day in Benin City started at A.S. & Sara David’s Church compound. They are always so generous to us. We exchanged gifts and wonderful fellowship. Sara is to my right and A.S. & Bryan to my left. We just love going to visit them!

The children at the church just love Bryan and taking pictures with us.

Left: On the road, we saw a Monkey rigged to a tanker gas tank.
We were told they do that to chase away gas thieves!!
Left: We arrived and gave our condolences to Rosemary Oyeyemi for the passing of her husband and our brother James. We were taking to share with the children.
Right: Our afternoon was an open house at the hotel visiting Pastors (Beatrice & George from Ghana).

Pastor Vasco to my right and the Isreal family joined Bryan and I by the Hotel pool for soft drinks and fellowship.

Our final full day in Benin City began with God's Army encouraging the Gracious Sisters Widows Group.

Right: Bryan sharing an encouraging word to our widows and invited guests.
Left: The Traditional Dancers were beautiful and amazing.
Right: We were met in Obanyator Village by the Traditional Dancers!
Left: Celebrating the Kola Nut, a village tradition!
Right: The GTGIM team shares the “Bush Allowance” with the village.

The village has blessed Jim with an official Village title! Wow - so kind.
We have loved the amazing experience to see village life.
Thank you for praying for us.
Please continue to pray for the rest of our trip. Glory to God - for He is Good!
