Nigerian Mission Trip Visit with the Widows in Lagos September 14, 2018
Jim and Bernie spent Friday morning, September 14, with the lovely widows in Lagos. Visiting with the widows is always a beautiful time in the Lord, but this day was made especially sweet when these precious women reached out to connect with their sisters in Christ here in the greater Cincinnati area.
Tea is served at special occasions in Nigeria, so as a special gift to the ladies, Jim and Bernie brought them tea bags. As these ladies sipped their tea, they envisioned themselves with the ladies attending the Beth Moore Simulcast on Saturday, September 15, hosted by Lakeside Christian Church in Lakeside Park, Kentucky. They then lifted their voices to the Father asking for His blessing on all the women who would be at the event. When this was shared during the opening prayer before the simulcast began, all the women were touched, and you could feel our hearts connect in the Spirit.
Later that day, Bernie & Jim spent time with other brothers and sisters in the Lord, who also wanted to pray for the Beth Moore event. Such beautiful and passionate prayers.
One of the key scriptures Beth Moore used during her teaching on Saturday was Revelation 21:9 – …“Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
We are all His beautiful bride, and we never look more stunning than when we unite in His love and join together to accomplish His purposes on the earth. The Beth Moore event was a resounding success, and we know the prayers of His bride in Nigeria were heard and contributed to that success.
Let us continue to pray for one another until the glorious day of His return.
